We want everyone to be able to use Alavia’s website and resources, including people who use assistive technologies, mobile devices or slow connections.

Our target

We design towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we do

  • Readable typography and colour contrast that meets WCAG AA for text
  • Keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
  • Semantic headings and descriptive link text
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Minimal motion and no auto-playing media
  • Lightweight pages that work on low bandwidth

Known limitations

This website is new and still being built. Some pages and resources may not yet meet every requirement; we test and improve as we go.
