Tools
Practical tools for everyday life.
Interactive, privacy-aware tools that help you explore options, make decisions and take next steps — at your own pace and without having to disclose who you are.
Our first tools are in discovery. We are listening to people and reviewing evidence before we build — so nothing here is live yet.
Two ways in
- For individuals — tools for work, social and everyday life
- For workplaces and organisations — guides for inclusive practice
For individuals
Status: in discovery
Tools and resources LGBTQIA+ people can use at work, in social life and in everyday life. Here are the concepts we are exploring.
Concepts we are exploring
These are candidate ideas, not commitments. Which one we build first will depend on research with the people they are meant to serve.
In discovery
Career Pathways Navigator
A private, self-guided way to explore work options and resources — without being pushed to disclose your identity.
In discovery
Self-Reflection Toolkit
A non-diagnostic worksheet to clarify goals, supports, strengths and boundaries.
In discovery
Opportunity Explorer
Curated, dated links to trustworthy opportunities, with eligibility and safety notes.
For workplaces and organisations
Status: in development
Guides and tools to help workplaces and organisations build inclusive practices and fair working conditions for LGBTQIA+ people.
Areas we plan to cover
- Inclusive workplace practices
- Fair and decent working conditions for LGBTQIA+ employees
- Inclusive communication
No organisational tools are available yet. If your organisation would like to help shape them, get in touch.
What every Alavia tool will include
- A named owner, version number and last-reviewed date
- A plain-language note on the evidence behind it — and its limits
- Accessibility status and known limitations
- A clear privacy statement: what is (and is not) collected
- Who it is for, who it is not for, and when to seek specialist help
- A simple way to give feedback
Want to shape what we build?
We will invite people to take part in research and testing once our consent, ethics and data-protection processes are in place. Organisations interested in collaborating can reach us now.
